Thais is a Master’s student in Biodiversity, Genetics, and Evolution at the University of Porto, where her thesis focuses on the biodiversity, taxonomy, and ecology of freshwater Heteroptera. She has previous experience with the project Charcos com Vida, working on aquatic habitats, and later joined the University of Madeira to support the Madeiran Insects Bioblitz (MIB). Her work also includes curating dry insect collections and assisting in DNA-based research projects. Her scientific interests include aquatic insects, Heteroptera, and ecology.
