Soledad Álvarez
Technician at MARE-Marine and Environmental Science Centre, Regional Agency for the Development of Research Technology and Innovation (ARDITI).
Soledad is graduated in Environmental Science at the University of Valencia (Spain) in 2011. On 2012 she moved to Madeira Island to participate in international programs Leonardo da Vinci, European Voluntary service and INTERREG projects.
In 2017 she continued her research at MARE-Madeira focused on the marine litter topic, non-indigenous species introduction and ocean literacy.
She has a broad interest in understanding the global human impact on the environment, specifically, the threat of marine litter in ecosystems, marine biological invasions and how to contribute with ocean literacy to a better marine environment.
