Gonçalo Gouveia joined the Teaching Staff of Instituto Superior de Arte e Design in 1993, and the Department of Art and Design at University of Madeira in 1998. He was awarded a PhD in Art Sciences, in the area of Aesthetic Education/ Descriptive Geometry in 2006. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Informatics and Interactive Media Design at the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Engineering at UMa. He researches a set of domains of the Visual Arts and Interactive Media Design and exhibits painting, sculpture, printmaking and illustrations since 1991.
