Short description: Bachelor´s in biology at the University of Algarve. Currently undertaking a master’s degree in marine biology at the University of Aveiro. I am particularly interested in the marine megafauna. This led me to do an internship with the marine megafauna team at MARE-madeira for the final year of my Masters. The focus of the internship is on photo-identification, acoustics, image analysis and georeferenced databases of marine megafauna, with the objective of studying and understanding the biological dynamics of these population in the Madeira Archipelago.
